I have fond memories of playing with Rick and his brother, Ron when we were young – a LONG time ago, We used to ride a go-kart on their farm, and we would visit our grandmother in Shelbyville, Illinois. I can remember playing wiffle ball in her back yard, Rick was the play-by-play announcer, Ron and I would take turns pitching and batting. Those were fun times. So sorry for your loss.
Karen, Kay and I are thinking of you and your family, and are sorry for your loss. Rick was one-of-a-kind and will be missed. Karen,I am so sorry to hear of your loss. I worked with Rick during my years as a Juvenile Probation Officer. Rick would get testy with me sometimes when I didn't think we had enough on a juvenile to justify detention lol. But he awas a good officer and great to work with! To the Hazen family:I met Rick shortly after becoming a deputy sheriff in 1977 and worked a few cases together with him during my detective years. Rick was a good cop.
