Richard D. Hazen's Obituary
Richard D. Hazen, 64, of Decatur passed away on Thursday, October 16, 2014 in St. Mary’s Hospital.
Rick was born on April 30, 1950 in Decatur the son of Floyd and Velma (Butts) Hazen. He served his country proudly in the U.S. Navy. He was a retired police detective from the Decatur Police Department and a Member of Policeman Benevolent Association. He married Karen Stolley on March 18, 1983 in Decatur.
Surviving are his wife, Karen; sons, Richard M. Hazen and Anthony E. Hazen and fiancée Dominique Walker both of Decatur; foster-children, Karsen and Aubrie; and one brother Ronald Hazen (Mary) of Nashville, TN.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A visitation to celebrate Rick’s life will be 5-7 PM Monday, October 20, 2014 in Moran & Goebel Funeral Home. Memorials are suggested to the Policeman Benevolent Association.
