Rita Marie Henneberry's Obituary
Rita Marie Henneberry, 94, of Toulon, IL, passed away at 8:30 A.M. on Monday (05-05-2025) at The Garden of Kewanee, Kewanee, IL.
Rita was born on October 25, 1930, in Ivesdale, IL, the daughter of John Thomas “Tom” Walsh and Mabel “Marie” (Wood) Walsh. She married Harry “Lee” Henneberry on June 24, 1950, in St. Joseph Catholic Church, Ivesdale, IL. He preceded her in death on August 3, 2001.
She was a member of St. Dominic’s Catholic Church in Wyoming, IL.
Lee and Rita with their children entertained with a Family Variety Show. They traveled extensively throughout the United States, Canada, and Europe. She was a seamstress for the family business making all their outfits. Rita loved to travel. Her biggest love was being with her family and having her family all together.
Rita is survived by her children: Michael L. Henneberry of Kentucky; Mark E. Henneberry and wife Joyce of North Carolina; Margy Marie Rogers and husband Don of Illinois; Mary Zita Miller and husband Brian of Ohio; Maria Catherine Henneberry and husband Adrian of Arizona; and Michelle Ann Baldwin and husband Doug of Colorado; twelve grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, four brothers and three sisters.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday (05-10-2025) at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church Decatur, IL, with visitation one hour prior to the service. The burial will be in St. Isidore Cemetery, Bethany, IL.
