Robert W. Lees' Obituary
Robert W. Lees, 91, of Decatur, IL, passed away at 10:14 A.M. on Saturday (07-12-2025) at his home.
Bob was born on August 23, 1933, in Decatur, IL, the son of William F. Lees and Anne (Hines) Lees. He married Virginia Ann Oller on November 11, 1953, in Pana, IL. She survives him after over seventy-one years of marriage.
He served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. Bob was a member of St. Thomas Catholic Church. He worked at P.P.G. for thirty-seven years. Bob was a big family man and went to all of his grandkid's activities. He enjoyed golfing, fishing, gardening, watching the Chicago Bears and the St. Louis Cardinals.
Bob is survived by his wife Viginia; children: Brenda (Larry) Devito, Carol (Brian) Sheahan, Donna (Dean) Ford, Mary Kay (Phil) Lackman, Judy (Scott) Slivka, Tony (Angel) Lees; grandchildren: Alex (Abby) Ford, Jessica St. James, Patty (Wiley) O’Daniel, Michelle (Ryan) Knott, Mike (Heidi) Devito, Maggie (Zach) Wiley, Christian (Clarissa) Lees, Josh Lees, Reza Slivka, Noah Lees, Tanner Slivka, and Nick Lees; six great grandchildren, three brothers: P.D., Mike, and Dick.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters Mary Anne Lees, Sister Anne Liam Lees and one great-grandson Liam Wiley.
A visitation will be held from 9:00 A.M. until 10:30 A.M. on Saturday (07-19-2025) at St. Thomas Catholic Church. The Funeral Mass will be at 10:30 A.M. Saturday (07-19-2025) at St. Thomas Catholic Church. The burial will be at Calvary Cemetery.
