Robert "Bob" L. Kolbeck's Obituary
Robert “Bob” L. Kolbeck, 90, of Decatur, passed away Saturday, September 29, 2018, at Moweaqua Rehabilitation & Health Care.
Bob was born January 12, 1928, in Decatur, to Louis J. and Mary T. (Weber) Kolbeck. He proudly served in the Army during the Korean War. He married Agnes J. Truebe on April 2, 1956 in Decatur. She passed away January 5, 2015. Bob was the owner and operator of Kolbeck Electric. He was a member of the VFW Post # 99, a life member of the Knights of Columbus and a lifelong Harley-Davidson enthusiast.
He is survived by his four children, Sarah Weaver of Decatur, Steve (Marta) Kolbeck of Gardner, KS, Sue Kolbeck of Decatur and Tony (Gail Neely) Kolbeck of Athens, IL; five grandchildren, Matt Weaver, Mindy Weaver, Maggie (Mike) Thompson, Colleen Kolbeck and Ramie (Sam) Weisser; and four great-grandchildren, Evan, Ellianne, Melanie and Myles.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Agnes; his great-grandson, Isaac Weisser and his sister, Dorothy Georges.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, October 9, 2018, at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Tuesday before the service at the church. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Decatur.
