May God keep your family in His comforting embrace and grant you His peace at this time and always. Sugar Grove, IL US
My condolences to your family in your loss. I remember your mother as my favorite substitute teacher at St. Thomas MANY years ago. What a sweet and patient lady she was! : After reading your mother's obituary in the paper, I learned that we may have actually been "neighbors" on the Skilled Care Unit of St. Mary's, as my mother, Ina Tatman-Renner, was also there from May 2 till her death July 2. Now they are together again in heaven!I will keep you in my prayers. Decatur, IL US
Dave — I see where you got your kind and happy smile. She was quite a lady, wasn't she? You still have all she gave you — and her legacy shines through you. Blessings to you and your family. Mimi Romeoville, IL US

I most recently met Rosaleen at St. Mary's Hospital on two separate occasions with two of her sons. We met in the chapel while I was at Perpetual Adoration. I felt drawn to speak with her, and we discussed the fact that we are both teachers and that we have a friend in common in Sister Joan. I was so blessed with this encounter….it was so clear her love for Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament. I pray that I might have this same love. The last time I saw her I felt she was going to be going home to be with God very soon, so I had been watching the newspaper for her obituary. I am sorry for your loss, but when I was with her, I told her I felt I was to read Song of Songs in her honor …this is about the young woman who is being looked for by her lover. He calls to her to "Arise and come away with me." I do believe that that is exactly what Rosaleen has done…and that she is resting in His arms peacefully. May God be with your family today and always. Decatur, IL US

My sincere sympathy and prayers at the passing of your dear mother and grandmother, and of my longtime friend! May she be with the Lord and may the Holy Catholic Faith we share be your comfort and consolation. Hopefully just to know that one more person understands and cares deeply will be of some added help to you. For the faithful Christian life is changed, not ended. When our earthly body lies in death we gain and everlasting dwelling place in heaven. Alleluia! Springfield, IL US
