Rowena DeLorme's Obituary
Rowena DeLorme, 94, of Mt. Zion, formerly of the St. Louis area, died Thursday, May 31, 2007, St. Mary's Hospital.
Rowena was born August 4, 1912, in Clay City, the daughter of Zazel Hunter. She retired from Sears & Roebuck in 1975 after 27 years and was a previous member of Trinity United Church of Christ in St. Louis. She married Virgil DeLorme and he preceded her in death.
Surviving are her daughter, Audrey Bender of St. Louis; five grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, and twelve great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her mother and her husband.
Memorial prayer service, 6 pm Sunday, June 3, 2007, Our Lady Of The Holy Spirit Catholic Church, Mt. Zion with fellowship to follow in the church fellowship hall. Graveside services celebrating her life will be 2:45 pm Monday, June 4, 2007, in Resurrection Cemetery, St. Louis. Visitation will be from 12:30 to 2 pm Monday in Grace United Church of Christ, 5700 Leona, St. Louis. Burial will follow in Resurrection Cemetery.
