I first met Russ our freshman year of high school. We became good friends early on and had many good times through our high school years. Russ used to come out to our home north of Lincoln and we would go hunting in a nearby timber. I also remember staying at the Ryals home and sleeping on the roof of the house. We were sitting up there eating watermelon and throwing the rinds in the neighbors yard. After Russ's first daughter was born I would go to his home on South Kickapoo St and visit him. As life went on we all got very busy with life and only saw and talked to each other occasionally. The last time I saw Russ was on the 5th of this month. It was devastating to see him so sick. A few days later he was gone. Rest in peace good friend. Tim Clark Lincoln, IL.

I thank God for bringing my father and I together after 37 years. Our time was priceless, and my family and I are increbibly thankful for Russ's contributions in life, his comfort and care during his transition, and the memories that will last forever. What a wonderful family. Love you Dad, my heart hurts, but I know you werent afraid. Rest in Peace.
