Russell Eugene Ryals' Obituary
Russell Eugene Ryals, 65, of Decatur, passed away Thursday, January 7, 2016, in Decatur Rehabilitation and Health Care Center.
Russell was born May 7, 1950, in Lincoln, IL, the son of Luther E. and Erma Eilene (Fulk) Ryals. He proudly served his country in the United States Army. Russell was active with his Vietnam War friends in the Angry Skipper Association. He loved music, fishing, and was a huge Chicago Cubs fan. Most of all, Russell loved his children very much. Russell married Jeanne Huffman in October 16, 1998, in Lincoln, IL. She preceded him in death on June 21, 2001.
Russell leaves behind his son, Anthony (Meg) Ryals of Evanston, IL; daughter, Kristie Ann Ryals-Hatfield of California; Megan Ryals of Lincoln, IL; brother, Robert Hall of Decatur, IL; Jerry Hall of Decatur, IL; sisters, Debbie (John) Kramer of Delavan, IL; Sheila (Robert) Spickard of Lincoln, IL; grandchildren; and his pitbull, Tank.
He is preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, Larry Ryals; Luther Ryals; and William Hall.
Honoring Russell’s wishes, cremation services will be provided by Moran & Goebel Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at a later date in Bethel Cemetery in Emden, IL. Memorials in memory of Russell may be made to the American Cancer Society.
