We are here today to honor and celebrate Sandy, who came into this world on December 1, 1948. The first born child of Marilyn and Charlie Logue. Then came Mark, me, Cindy and then eight years later, Greg. Five Logue children, of which Sandy was our Leader. Sandy was always full of fun and adventure. She loved horses, so we played a lot of cowboy games, of which one of her favorites was building a fort with blankets over momÃ?â??ââ?¬â?¢s dining room table. Sandy and Mark were the horses that Cindy and I road around the Ã?â??ââ?¬Å?fortÃ?â??ââ?¬Â fighting off the bad guys.Sandy was the Bestest big sister to all of us! She was my mentor, my teacher, my confidant and my BEST FRIEND. She taught me how to put on my make-up, what clothes to wear and how to fix my hair. She taught me how to drive a stick shift in her Ã?â??ââ?¬Ë?68 chevy chevelle 396 four on the floor posatract rear end. And how to smoke cigarettes and look really cool. Sandy was a very unselfish person and always worried about the needs of others first. This held true, even throughout her illness. Sandy showed her creativity by doing ceramics, for over 30 years. She loved searching for and collecting candle snuffers. She loved school and made good grades, graduating from MacArthur High School on June 8, 1966. In Ã?â??ââ?¬â?¢66 she started her job at the city of Decatur – Engineering Dept, Secretary to William B Sands public Works Director. She came to love Bill Sands during the 18 years that she worked for him. While employed by the City of Decatur, she met the love of her life, Jack Mendenall. They were married August 11, 1979.Not only did Sandy become a wife, but she also became the mother to her step-son, Todd. She was so proud of him and her grandchildren. Then in 1984, jack and Sandy decided to retire from the City of Decatur and become business owners. That business was RamboÃ?â??ââ?¬â?¢s Tavern. They did much more than own a business. They made many friends and discovered their love for shooting Busch League pool. Sandy become quite a good pool player and loved to beat us all on the table, except for Jack.In 1987 they moved to Tampa, Fl and lived there for 5 years. On April 1, 1992 they moved back home to Decatur during a snowstorm. When they came back to Decatur, Jack took over his dadÃ?â??ââ?¬â?¢s business ,Mendenall Decorating and Sandy worked as a secretary for Kelly Construction. In 1996, she went to work for Sheila Witts-Mannweiler at ADM in the Human Resources Dept as Administrative Assistant. After Sheila retired, Andy Richars became her boss. Of course, it didnÃ?â??ââ?¬â?¢t take Andy long to realize who was Really the boss. She came to love and respect Andy and trained him well. Sandy dearly loved her job at ADM. Her co-workers became her 2nd family. The girls at ADM became like sisters to her, she made suggestions about their makeup, clothes and hair, too. She spent a lot of happy times with her ADM family and loved them dearly.May God Bless and keep you, Sandy, IÃ?â??ââ?¬â?¢ll see you on the other side, Sis! Moweaqua, IL US
