I remember Shane from high school. He had the coolest hair. See you again sometime, man…. Decatur, IL US
I played baseball with Shane at Fontbonne, our 98 team was the best team I was ever a part of. I never will forget watching him launch that homer in the old Busch Stadium. You could tell by the look on his face that was a dream come true for him. Shane was a great left fielder and a great person. I'm very saddened to hear of his passing, my thoughts and prayers are with his wife and children. Florissant, MO US
Shane was a great friend from our days of playing ball together at Fontbonne. I'll never forget the day we were fortunate enough to play a game at the old Busch Stadium. Shane got ahold of a pitch and crushed it about 15 rows deep into the left field bleachers. I will never forget the expression on his face and he circled the bases. He hit a lot of homeruns, but I think that was was extra special since he was such a big fan of the Cardinals. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Waterloo, IL US
I had the honor and privilege of knowing Shane when he played baseball at Fontbonne. He and my brother played on the same team and Shane was always someone that made everyone feel like they belonged and were part of a team. He was truly a team player and leader and would do anything for anybody. When that team was together at Fontbonne it was the finest team to ever play together during the years before I attended Fontbonne and the years I attended Fontbonne. Shane was an upper classman when Jeff attended and was a great friend not only to my brother but to everyone he came into contact with. He was a genuine person who was kind to each and every person he met. His laughter and love for life is something I have not and never will forget. I saw Shane about four years ago and I hadnÃ?Æ?Ã?¢Ã?â??ââ??¬Ã?â??ââ??¢t seen him in probably four or five years before that and he was the same old happy go lucky Shane. Smiling, laughing and having a wonderful time and acting like no time had passed since the last time we saw each other. That was Shane. He had a way of making you feel like a million bucks! My heart, sympathy and tears go out to Allison and your sons as well as the rest of Shane's family. This truly is a tragic loss because Shane made the world a brighter place. May God bless Shane and his loved ones. Waterloo, IL US

I remember when Shane was born–so tiney and fragile. But he grew to be a fine athlete! Shane was a friend to everyone who met him. HIs love and laughter lit up the world. His love was big enough for all of us. He was a wonderful husband and father and our stories will keep his spirit alive for his sons. Shane, we honor you and are grateful for our time with you. We hold your memory in love and light forever. Love alwyas, Aunt Shirley Decatur, IL US
