I'm sorry to hear about her passing. Gertrude introduced me to her and her family. Sybille and I spend a lot of time together. We remeniced about our childhood in Germany. Spend days and even weeks with her family. I remember her siblings, Sonia and Peter. After highschool we went our separate way. I eventually settled in Kentucky. Whenever I visited Decatur I made sure to visit her and her family. These trips became less as my family passed away. We kept in touch through letters. More recently we reconnected on Facebook. I will miss her. She was my best friend in my teenage years.

I remember when I was little my brother and I went to visit Aunt Billy in a big house that was kinda out in the country. She said she wanted to give me something special so she handed me a vintage 1968 Mattel, baby girl bye-bye baby doll. I remember she said I want to give you something special. I don’t have a lot, but maybe this will be worth something someday. That doll has been very special to me till this day. I remember my family was in town staying at a campsite. Grandma and grandpa was there and were all sitting around the fire. Everyone was telling jokes having a good time. Then grandpa decided to tell a joke and I can still remember how you busted out laughing that is a laugh I will always remember. I know your at peace with grandma grandpa uncle Denny Steven and all of your loved ones eating German cheese cake laughing having a good time an I know you will be waiting but until then rest in spirit 💜
