Stephen Charles Dillman's Obituary
Springfield – Stephen Charles Dillman, 67, of Springfield, formerly of Decatur, passed away Saturday, April 5, 2025.
Stephen was born on August 6, 1957, in Hannibal, MO, the son of Donald Ray Dillman and Marion Lee (Ward) Dillman. He was an Army veteran and worked as a police officer for the cities of Springfield, Buffalo, and Mechanicsburg. Stephen then went to work as a mechanic for First Student in Springfield for 10 years before retiring.
He is survived by his daughters: Dawn Renae (Tim) Knorr of Decatur, Barbara Sue Neeley of Decatur, and Amanda Rose Dillman of Argenta; 12 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren; brothers: Mike (Ramonita) Dillman, Scott Dillman, Lynn Dillman, Jeremy Dillman, and Gary Shawn (Sara) Dillman; many nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
Stephen was preceded in death by his parents, son Stephen Daniel Ray Dillman, and brothers Donald Dillman and Melvin Dillman.
A visitation will be held on Monday, April 14, 2025, from 2 pm to 4 pm, at the Moran & Goebel Funeral Home. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
