Dr. Steve had a servant's heart. He was beloved by all who knew him. His patient's looked forward to his visits and always asked when he was coming to see them again. In tense situations, his winning smile and sense of humor would immediately warm up the room. He made a positive difference and was a wonderful visiting physician. I wish I had some great words of wisdom for comfort or you Uncle Richard, John, Mark, Mike and all thier famlies. I'm sorry to learn of Dr. Hebenstreits' untimely death. When I first moved to Texas, he invited me over to his home and taught me the ropes of doing housecalls. Most recently, Dr. Hebenstreit and I spent a working day with me, before deciding to join me at Visiting Podiatry Association.My prayers and thoughts go out to the family. We are so shocked & deeply saddened by this. Dad has been telling me about times he & Steve spent together when they were younger.
