Mary K, My condolences on the loss of your mother. It has been so many years ago, but we were friends in the old neighborhood. You on Prairie St. and we were on Main St 50 years ago. Your mother paid me 25 cents a week to walk you to and from kindergarten at Roach School. I thought I was quite rich! We played together and went to movies at the Roger's theatre.Your mom would always look up in her church book to see if the movie was ok for you to see.After we moved away, I would see her at Carson's, and we would talk.
