Although I can't be there in person today as you lay Leonard to rest, I am there in spirit. I never spent much time with him growing up as Jackie and I were closer in age and he was, well, a boy, so I didn't get to know him very well. I do have a very fond memory of him taking me for a motorcycle ride down what is now West Grove Road and playing chess with him a time or two. Several times when I was in Decatur visiting in the past ten or fifteen years, Leonard made a special trip out to his mom and dad's just so we could visit. I hope he enjoyed those conversations as much as I did.A few years ago he made my mother a beautiful microwave cart that she uses every day and is so thankful to have. It will stay in the family when my mother passes away.Leonard had a good heart and a generous spirit. We will all miss him.Gail (Bush) Guymon
