William F. Busbey's Obituary
Forsyth – William Francis “Bill” Busbey, 81, of Forsyth, passed away Wednesday, October 23, 2024.
Bill was born May 27, 1943, in Shreveport, LA, the son of William George and Mary (Conerton) Busbey. He graduated college from Louisiana Tech University in 1966, was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church and worked as a supervisor engineer at Caterpillar for 36 years.
Cat not only provided a wonderful career for Bill, but it took his family to different states including Phoenix, AZ at Cat’s proving ground for four of the best years of his life. Some of Bill’s most treasured friendships came from his love of fishing and golfing. Bill married Linda L. Nix on January 28, 1966, in Minden, LA.
Surviving is his wife Linda of Forsyth; children: Daniel Busbey of Albuquerque, NM, and Missy (Tom) Keppler of Argenta; grandchildren: Owen (Destini) Busbey and Ethan Busbey; other relatives and friends.
Funeral mass will be 11am, Monday, October 28, 2024, at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. Burial will take place at the Providence Cemetery in rural Ringgold, LA. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church.
