My Dear Joyce, Words do not seem enough to express my deep sadness to hear that your ornery and loving husband has made his way to heaven! I still cannot barely believe it! I'm sorry too that the miles divide us so far that I cannot be with you and the family at this time. I do have so many memories of Bill and you too of course when we all lived in Harristown. I remember one specific time when my van had the wheel come completely off the van and I was left stranded on the country road out north of Harristown. Your wonderful husband never blinked an eye… He came to my rescue! So many times he would help me out. Sometimes it was my kids he even helped out. You and the kids & grandkids are in my prayers because only God will be able to get you through this difficult time. I may be far away physically but you are in my heart, thoughts and prayers. Will miss you my big brother, by love, not by blood, miss you and Bud teasing Joyce, as Bud would say Betty Crocker for not baking as often as she used too. Miss the coffee get togethers, playing games, wonderful conversations, and your patience for hunting the river bottoms for arrow heads. and the humor and serious talks. Will miss my hugs. Bill and Richard enjoyed many trips to the fishing bank together and even went camping at the river with the little boys once. It was always an adventure. Both enjoyed playing pool together and visiting. Now they will be together again once more.
Bill was always kind and easy going…I loved that about him. What a wonderful husband and father. Such a sweet man. He will be greatly missed. Love you Joyce, Carol, Chrissy and John. Praying for your whole family.Pam Fitzpatrick
