I went through school with Joe, eight years at St. Patrick's and four years of high school at St. Teresa. He was always a kind and humble person, the kind of person Jesus told us that He welcomed in heaven. Now Joe is there in his eternal reward, smiling that famous smile of his. I last talked with Joe years ago at a class reunion and was delighted to hear he had found his niche, not only as a musician, but by putting his comic book knowledge into building a small business. From time to time, I would use Joe as an example when I talked to kids in the inner city about God giving each of us a unique set of gifts and the importance of recognizing those gifts and using them. Proud to have known you Joe. God bless you. Steve Chicoine, St. Teresa Class of 1968.
