William Joe Weingand's Obituary
William Joseph “Joe” Weingand, 64, of Decatur passed away on Friday, February 13, 2015 in St. Mary’s Hospital.
Joe was born on October 20, 1950 in Madison, WI the son of William Anthony and Margaret (Vail) Weingand. He was a member of Ss. James & Patrick Parish and volunteered at St. James School, Rectory and was involved with the music ministry. He graduated from Millikin University and Eastern Illinois University. He was the former owner of the Comic Store.
Surviving are his uncle, Paul Weingand of Florida; cousins, Mary Jo Comerford, David Vail (Diane), Betsy Barker (Mike), Richard Weingand (Teri), Paul Weingand Jr., Cathy Dunn, and Ginger Weingand and other family.
He was preceded in death by his parents.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 AM Tuesday, February 17, 2015 in St. James Catholic Church with Rev. John Burnette as Celebrant. Visitation will be 9-10 AM Tuesday at the church. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the Northeast Community Center or Ss. James & Patrick Parish.
