Linda S O'Dell

Linda S. O’Dell, 73, of Hot Springs Village, AR, formerly of Decatur, IL, passed away February 18, 2021 at St. Mary’s Hospital. Linda was born April 20, 1948 in Decatur, IL, the daughter of Archie and Jacqueline (Finley) Neff. She married Thomas O’Dell Sr, December 19, 1970. Together they enjoyed 50 years of marriage. She was a graduate of St. Teresa High School and had graduated from Southern Illinois University Carbondale. She was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church. During her leisure time, she enjoyed quilting. She also enjoyed volunteering her time with her children’s scouting activities and giving encouragement to her daughter. Surviving are her children, Monica L. Schuler of Osceola, WI, Thomas O’Dell Jr of Lancaster, PA, Derek J. O’Dell (Brianna) of Pittsburgh, PA, Patrick R. O’Dell (Taylor) of Decatur, IL; siblings, Sandra Smith (Mike)of Cocoa, FL, Bobbie Bland of Decatur, IL, Debbie Clark (Tony) of Decatur, IL, Pamela Rife of Orlando, FL, 7 grandchildren and one great granddaughter. Linda was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas; parents, and one granddaughter. Funeral service will be 11:00 AM, Tuesday, March 2, 2021 at Moran and Goebel Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM, Tuesday, March 2, 2021. Burial will be at Graceland Cemetery. Memorials: Donor’s Choice.
